How many times have we’re heard that line? Even so, the world follows to the beat of this broken record every time it plays. People verge on hysterics, say goodbye to the world, take care of their earthly belongings, and then live to tell the tale—again and again.
Why do people try to predict the end of the world? Mostly, it’s for fame and money. Someone wants to sell a movie, go viral on Youtube, or get more followers. Indeed, the world ending is a very profitable business.
Of course, the main point in all this is that we do not know the details of Christ’s return (the important thing is that we know He will return). That is why we are called to be on our guard. That is why we are called to finish the race. I don’t think our job is to worry about when the world will end.
